WELWYN GC's under 25 side started the new year with a big win over visitors Winslow, giving an even bigger performance.
Within two minutes of the start, WGC U-25's went close through player-coach Sav Caliskan and in five minutes they were ahead through skipper Nathan Studholme with his third goal of the season. Mitchell Popham and Owain Page did the spadework with Page pulling the ball back to Studholme to score.
The WGC skipper then returned the compliment for Page to double the lead and make it 2-0 at the interval.
Early in the second-half, Caliskan with a point blank header made it three following a good ball in from teenage full-back Josh Ward.
The goal of the match came with WGC's fourth, substitute Luke White finishing off a flowing move involving most of the Herns Lane team.
There were fine displays from Popham, Studholme, Page and 16-year-old newcomer Will McClelland.
Said manager Russ Giblin:"To start the new year in this form was excellent and a clean sheet was all I can ask for, Our new assistant manager Ian Prior has really the players focussed for the remainder of the season, after a tough 2016.''
